Our thoughts and prayers are with individuals who have contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19) and their families.
At Mimaki Engineering Group, as part of our measures related to the spread of the coronavirus, we established a task force on February 17 to carry out measures such as infection prevention and suspension of business trips in order to prioritize the health and safety of our customers, partners and employees. We will continue monitoring future developments and respond flexibly.
The coronavirus measures we are undertaking as a corporate group are outlined below.
1. Suspending overseas business trips
We are prohibiting all business trips to areas that have been reported by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs as posing a risk for infection, including China.
2. Preventing infection of domestic employees
In addition to staggered work hours for employees working in large metropolitan areas, we recommend proactively using online teleconferencing systems and avoiding nonessential and nonurgent business trips and outings as much as possible in order to prevent the spread of infection.
3. Requesting customers to help prevent the spread of infection
At our domestic group offices, in order to reduce the risk of infection, we are requesting everyone to cooperate to use alcohol-based disinfectants.
4. Suspending the operation of MIMAKI IJ TECHNOLOGY CO., Ltd. ‘in China
Operation of MIMAKI IJ TECHNOLOGY CO., Ltd., our factory in Zhejiang, China was suspended until February 9 on orders from Chinese authorities, but operations have resumed as of February 10.
